A two-day hands-on workshop on RETScreen Expert was successfully conducted on 18–19 April 2026, providing students with practical exposure to a globally recognized software platform used for evaluating energy efficiency and renewable energy projects.
The workshop introduced participants to key tools for project feasibility assessment, performance analysis, and financial evaluation of clean energy systems. Through guided exercises and demonstrations, students developed practical understanding of how digital decision-support tools are applied in sustainable engineering practice.
The sessions were facilitated by Mr. Singye Wangchuk and Ms. Phurpa Zangmo, whose structured guidance enabled participants to confidently explore RETScreen applications in energy planning and project evaluation.
Dean Prof. Agarwal appreciated the initiative and highlighted the importance of such skill-oriented training in preparing students to engage with emerging challenges in renewable energy, sustainability, and energy transition technologies. He also acknowledged the continued efforts to provide learning opportunities that strengthen analytical capability alongside classroom instruction.
Certificates were awarded to participants upon successful completion of the workshop assessment.
