The Department of Mechanical Engineering had the privilege of hosting Mr. Anand Nagarajan, Senior Lead Engineer and Data Scientist at Airbus India Engineering, for an insightful session titled “Scientific Machine Learning: Bridging AI and Engineering Innovation.”
Mr. Nagarajan shared practical perspectives on how Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) are reshaping engineering design, simulation, and innovation. His examples highlighted real-world industrial applications, inspiring students to explore how advanced data-driven methods are increasingly influencing the future of engineering solutions and problem-solving.
The session encouraged students to think beyond conventional approaches and understand the evolving intersection between technology, analytics, and hands-on engineering challenges—a valuable direction for aspiring engineers in Bhutan and beyond.
