Industry Insight Session with Airbus Expert Provides Exposure to Advanced Aerospace Engineering

The ASHRAE Student Branch, in collaboration with the Mechanical Engineering programme, conducted an Industry Insight Session featuring Mr. Jaya Raju Namala, Technical Referent Community Leader at Airbus India & South Asia Engineering Centre. The session offered students and faculty an opportunity to learn directly from an experienced aerospace professional working in a leading global engineering organisation.

The presentation focused on aircraft structural integrity, advanced modelling, and simulation practices, giving participants a clearer understanding of how theoretical principles are applied in real-world aerospace engineering environments. Through examples and technical demonstrations, the session helped bridge the gap between classroom learning and modern industry expectations.

Students gained valuable exposure to concepts such as load modelling, design constraints, simulation workflows, and structural validation—providing a meaningful perspective on the engineering processes behind aircraft development.

The session encouraged participants to think beyond conventional boundaries, explore emerging technologies, and pursue excellence through continuous learning and innovation. Engagement with industry professionals remains an important part of the programme’s efforts to provide relevant and future-oriented engineering education.
