ME Students Secure One-Month Internship at PHPA-II O&M Circle, Pheytkha

The Mechanical Engineering Department is pleased to announce that three 2nd-year students—Mr. Ram Krishna Nirola, Mr. Dipen Subba, and Mr. Jigme Tashi—have successfully secured a one-month internship at the Operation & Maintenance (O&M) Circle, PHPA-II, Pheytkha.

This internship offers valuable exposure to one of Bhutan’s major hydropower operations, giving the students the opportunity to learn from real engineering environments involving mechanical systems, maintenance activities, safety practices, and operational workflows.

Their selection reflects their dedication and the growing confidence that external organisations place in CST’s Mechanical Engineering students. It also highlights the department’s focus on industry-oriented learning, hands-on training, and strengthening students’ practical competencies.

The Mechanical Engineering Department congratulates Ram Krishna, Dipen, and Jigme on achieving this milestone. We are confident that their internship at PHPA-II will enhance their technical understanding and inspire continued excellence in their academic and professional journey.
