Warm Introductory Session Welcomes New Students and Staff to the ME Community

The Department of Mechanical Engineering held a warm and engaging introductory session to welcome both new students and newly joined staff members into the CST community. The event served as an important platform to connect, orient, and inspire everyone at the beginning of the semester.

Dean Prof. Agarwal delivered an insightful address, highlighting the collective responsibility to drive Bhutan’s progress through engineering innovation, practical thinking, and shared effort. He outlined the department’s next planning phase and encouraged students, faculty, and staff to work together with clarity, purpose, and unity. His message emphasized that meaningful engineering education is built not only on technical skills, but also on teamwork, commitment, and the spirit of service.

Senior students then stepped forward to share their experiences, offering valuable insights on navigating university life, managing academic expectations, and staying grounded during challenging moments. Their stories provided freshers with confidence and a sense of belonging as they begin their journey at CST.

The session concluded with interactive conversations between faculty, staff, and students—setting a positive tone for the months ahead.
Here’s to a semester filled with curiosity, collaboration, and engineering solutions that make a real impact.
