ASHRAE Branch
Fueling innovation, empowering young engineers, and shaping a sustainable future—together at CST.
The ASHRAE CST Bhutan Student Branch is a vibrant community of aspiring engineers committed to innovation, sustainability, and hands-on learning. Through technical workshops, industry collaborations, global competitions, grants, and leadership development, our students gain real-world exposure that complements their academic journey. We create opportunities to learn, lead, and contribute to Bhutan’s growing engineering landscape—one initiative at a time.
Founded in 2024 at the College of Science and Technology, the ASHRAE CST Bhutan Student Branch has emerged as one of Bhutan’s most dynamic engineering communities—driven by innovation, technical excellence, and a commitment to sustainable development. In just its first year, the branch has built a strong foundation through international collaborations, high-impact workshops, global competitions, industrial visits, and impactful technical projects that bridge the gap between theory and real-world application.
Supported by prestigious recognitions such as the Setty Family Foundation Grant and the ASHRAE Undergraduate Program Equipment Grant (USA), the branch has expanded its capabilities with new training modules, advanced HVAC equipment, and hands-on learning infrastructure. Partnerships with industry leaders, international universities, and global experts have enabled students to engage in diverse learning experiences—from CFD simulations and renewable energy studies to advanced manufacturing, AI in engineering, and sustainable materials research.
Today, the ASHRAE CST Bhutan Student Branch stands as a vibrant platform for aspiring engineers—empowering students to lead with confidence, innovate with purpose, and contribute to Bhutan’s vision of building a highly skilled, self-reliant, and technologically advanced nation. With each workshop, competition, and project, the branch continues to shape the next generation of engineering leaders, ready to make an impact locally and globally.
